Hey guys,
I've been considering going the route of ordering a refurbished MacBook Pro from Apple's site, instead of having to pay the full retail price for a fresh model.

Has anyone here who's ordered specifically a refurbished MacBook Pro experienced any of the problems associated with some of the earlier models, such as the infamous processor whine, or any severe heat issues? How about any flaws in the craftsmanship?

The lower prices for a refurbished model are really appealing to me, but I just don't want to end up having bought myself an early week reject with a load of problems that I probably could have foregone if I'd bought a new model.

Thanks!

Edit: Doh.. Didn't even see the thread below me, sorry.

The general thought process with refurbs is that you're less likely to get a dud since it's been through QA twice.

Agreed. My powerebook was a refurb, and it's been smooth sailing. In fact the manufacture date on it was only 2 weeks prior to my purchase. It's a good bet you are getting a "quick return." Same warrantee, everything. It's the only way I would buy, especially at those prices.
