Had iGary soured on Steve Jobs? Or other changes in the works for him?

BTW I like the new look. Seems to very personal.

That has been going on for quite some time.

I just hope iGary stays with this one for a long time.

For me My first avatar was a Leica M6 image. Then I came across my current image that spoke to me on so many levels.

Until I find another image that is so worthy, you all will have to live with my choice. :)

Most definitely not. I wondered which recently 'tar'd member was being so Gary-like with their opinions and then realised it was iGary!

We'll get used to it. Heck, I still get a surprise occasionally when I spot my current tar after being with the old one for well over a year.

Nice new logo Gary! For the website, if I were you I'd try to come up with something very simple just to stay on there. Open up photoshop and make what you'd like it to look like, logo, services contact, then either turn that into a webpage or get someone else to do it. Hell you could probably even use iWeb. Just so that you have something on there. Basically like having a calling card online.

Also for the love of God, don't put an 'under construction' pic on there. ;)

Edit: I just realised something shocking!! iGary's new logo isn't centralised in the space!! Its the apocalypse!!

I used to work for a computer company as a Junior Network Engineer but ended up becoming their Web Design dude after the other one left. My boss was a big fan of flashing things, spinning things, construction signs etc. It made me cry. A lot. You should see the site as it is now, I had nothing to do with the latest one since I left there three years ago. I'm too ashamed to post it though because of the embarrasment of association. :o

I have gotten a couple questions about the significance to me about my 'tar. so I thought I would post it here. There is another thread here that I mentioned the reasons, but too lazy to search.

First, as many know, I am a Gay male. In the Gay community we have self-intedentifying sub-cultures. I am part of the Bear Community. We tend to large, hairy men. So hence the bear in the 'tar.

As many know, my 13 year relationship ended last year. It was filled with many changes for my life. Being single after 13 years, being well over 45yo, giving up my Chewey, selling my TH of 14 years, and all that crap. So the bear looking off to the "future" fits for me.

I have always loved travel. But I allowed things to get in the way of that desire sometimes through out my life. I love traveling cheaply. My ex however thought that a hotel without room service was as low as one can go. Add to that I was the one that had to find the way to pay the bills of these trips.

So now that that I have to only account for myself, travel has become my new drug. Since last year I have been to SF, Chicago, Reykjavik, London, and Williamsburg Va. In October I will be doing a 7 day cruise through the Western Caribbean. And this month I am on the hunt for a trip to Toronto and perhaps some European city if I can find the right package. I have even begun looking at maybe 2 to 4 weeks in Argentina next year in January or February. So the airplane flying off to the "future", is about the new direction for my life after the break-up.

So there you have it. :)

No worries - to each their own. :) I cycled through quite a few Family Guy 'tars at the time and thought it was time to move on. Then I took on the "Hackintosh" persona and have variations of that for the last while, as everyone knows.

Maybe I'll make a change in the fall. I could go back to my Harvey Birdman avatar, in honor of the last 7 episodes of the series which air this fall, or perhaps I'll have something BSG-related in time for Season 3. Or, maybe something completely different... change is good... :cool:

Thanks dmw007. Surprised you didn't see all my threads during that period. :) It was a hard choice, made even harder since I was the one giving the ultimatums to save the relationship. First time I ever did the dumping, was always the one being dumped.

Things are better now. Still don't feel like dating just yet, but miss not having that special someone. But doing life my way has been fun. Trying to see how quickly I can fill up my passport. :D
