I did a search on this but nothing came up. I know some companies offer 30 day demos of software. Does apple offer the same thing for Final Cut express? Thank you.

I'm in the same situation. I would love to try out FCE, just to see if I still got it (I haven't done any editing for years, and used to love Media 100 back in the late 90s).
But, I think NOK 1690 (edu which I technically still could get) or NOK 2690 (~ $270 or $425) is just a bit too much to shell out to try it... 🙁
So, come on Apple, give me a trial version of FCE!
