damn i don't know why it doesn't work. i tried on firefox and opera too and no luck. I go over to my windows machine and it works but my windows machine is slow and 10years old and i dont want to use it just to read a site.

I don't understand how this happened either cause it worked fine like 3-4 days ago then all of a sudden no more luck. I didnt even touch my options in safari.

this sucks.

Works fine for me as well.

Is it possible that you are getting some sort of redirect to a secure link?

Maybe try entering the full URL:

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/

Also, you might try deleting your cache on all your browsers that won't work.

I use Camino and would sugest it to any Mac user. Generally loads pages a little quicker and boots faster than Safari. Very stripped down, but if it's just web browsing you're after, Camino is ace.

Are you running any sort of blocking software?
LittleSnitch? PithHelmet? Saft? NetBarrier?

Sounds like the site is being blocked locally.

He said he tried it in Firefox and Opera and it didn't work, so I'm betting it's not a browser problem but a network problem.

yah im sure its a network problem but i don't know why the site would be blocked.

I have net barrier and i'm not sure where to look to see if i have the site blocked or not.

Try disabling NetBarrier to make sure that it is in fact the culprit.

I've never used it, so I'm not sure why it would be blocking the site. However, the IP address of hockeysfuture is 69.61.38.254. Make sure that address isn't blocked for any reason...

Good luck,
reality

I've got no idea, but now we know why it won't work :)

I'd say unblock it for now, and if it gets blocked again for port scanning, investigate with the site administrator.
