What program do you personally find to be the best for compressing and decompressing? I tend to work with alot of RAR files, so what do you guys suggest? I have stuffit expander and it works good but sometimes it gives me problems so any other possible suggestions for RAR files?

I prefer 7zX (http://sixtyfive.xmghosting.com/?cat=2)
Basically just a frontend for p7zip, which are among the most effective file compressors out there. :)

Thanks alot, i just got it but i'm trying to figure out how to use it. When i double click it it asks me to choose a compression format and when i click ok it closes. And when i right click a file and open with it it creats a .rar.app file

When you launch the 7zX.app it will ask you for the default compression method. Then either drop files/folders on it to compress, or use the included workflows to access 7zX from context menu.
