Hello Beautiful mac people,


what would be the fastest, most recommended and perhaps even versetial, ipod video decoder?


DVD-Ipod as a drag and drop?!

any other video --ipod drag and drop?!

snap snap real quick?

I'm afraid they are all pretty slow, I'd recommend Handbrake (http://handbrake.m0k.org/) (and Mac the Ripper if the DVD is encrypted) for the job

Yeah, Handbrake is the best for DVD-iPod, and it only takes like two settings adjustments before you can click Rip. Here's an easy tutorial.

If you want to convert movies already on your computer, I suggest iSquint. It's pretty stable, easy, and quick. Converts a lot of filetypes, even (SOME) windows media.

Another excellent video format conversion utility is VisualHub (http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/). Even though it is not free it is very inexpensive for what you get, and as a result I highly recommend it. :cool:

Just so you know, the new Core Duo Macs absolutely wipe the floor with the old PPC Macs (except maybe the PMs) when encoding DVDs to video files.
