Backing up imac -> ibook

Good day all.

I am wondering how I could perform the following task. I am working on files on my g5 imac, and want the files backed up on my G4 ibook. This can be done once or twice a day. It doesn't matter.

Both are wireless & I've set up an adhoc network. But is it possible to have the files in a certain folder copy to a certain folder on my ibook, wirelessly?

If I don't have to transfer a large amount of files, I usually just use bluetooth. Are these just text documents?
