Mardi Gras 2003

So today is what's known as "Fat Tuesday" among the world. Yup, it's officially Mardi Gras!! :D

So I'm running off 3.5 hours sleep currently. I got my coffee in hand and just finished off a chocolate chip cookie bar. I'm trying badly to gain a bit of energy so I can get enthusiastic for the day's events.

I'm riding in the parade uptown. I figure...7 hours from now...I'll be hanging off the side of our truck float, with my camera in one hand and some longbeads in another...conjuring all the lovely females to show me what they got for some plastic beads... :eek: :D ;)

I'll be back on later this evening, hopefully with some good shots to share with u guys...

of course...the Private Forum will get first crack...he he he... ;)

ah, sort of nice pics, but you might want to up the quality a bit. That jpeg compression setting is really killing the detail.

So today was probably 80-90% humidity...mist all morning long and a think haze all over the city the entire day. It was pretty miserable in the earlier part of the day (we got on the truck at 6 am), but once we started drinking around 8:30 we were fine...ha ha. :D

I'm pretty beat. We finished up, and after smelling the grilling from all of the parade goers, decided to grill some turkey burgers after. Since I got around 3.5 hours of sleep, I'm hitting the mattress a bit earlier than normal.

ha ha...even though it's not the best likeness of me...it is much of an improvement from seeing me in drag...

yeah...I cannot guarantee that all of the shots will be high quality...but that's always the case with me... ;)

I use iView MediaPro to setup the galleries...Photoshop can do it also...but I prefer the way iView works...sorta like iPhoto but better :D
