Well, I've never seen one in person, but I considered getting one instead of an Apple LCD at one point. Here's the thing; according to most of the reviews I read (for example, this one at ZDNet (http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Formac_Gallery_2010_flat_panel_display/4505-3174_16-20749942.html)) it's a very nice looking monitor... but that was in 2002.

From the specs on their site it looks like they've updated the panel they use to keep up with the times, but I haven't seen any reviews of them more recently, so I don't know if they're still using as high grade a panel as they used to.

They're probably still good, but I'd want to see some reviews before I forked over that kind of cash. Good luck finding someone who's used a more recent revision.

Are they still sold?? They used to be cheaper but better then an ACD and they had a translucent plastic look, just like the old Apple lcd's.

Thanks for the replys, the place where I work bought two of them for $640 each but they take alot of fiddling with to get the colours right.
