View Full Version : Broke Power Adapter

I tripped over the power adapter wire and well the iBook went flying but is alright but the end of the power adapter was all bent up and part of it was broke inside the computer but I got that out, so the question is would this be covered by applecare, and I really dont have 100 dollars laying around for another one. thanks.

No, it wouldn't normally be covered by applecare since it's accidental damage and not a manufacturing fault.

Whatever you do, don't try plugging it back in, even if it's 'just to see' if it works...you run the risk of frying your computer. :eek:

A new power adapter is a relatively inexpensive fix.

Yea, it wouldn't be. Happened to me and I had to buy a new one.

Sorry, Jorey3969 I doubt that AppleCare will cover the cost of a new power adapter for you. :o
