I've noticed a new wave of members lately, and I've seen a lot becoming demis. I think that this is great! The more, the merrier. So welcome to all new members. MR totally rocks, and contributing is a great thing to do. I would contribute if a wasn't a broke 13 year old:o

Becoming a demi and regularly contributing to MR is something I will never regret... worth every penny and a lot of fun too. Unhesitatingly recommended.

I contribute just to support the site. People will pay $25 for 2 CDs with 2 hours of music on them, but they won't pay $25 to help support a site they spend tens (or hundreds, in mad jew's and iGary's case ;) ) of hours on...

what is a demi?
Demi-God, Contributor, etc.
We contribute (http://guides.macrumors.com/Help:MacRumors_FAQ#How_do_I_contribute_to_MacRumors.com.3F) to the site to help keep it running and make it the fun place it has become!
Peace

No. MacRumors isn't a non-profit charitable organization.

Such an eloquent statement. It makes me teary eyed. I must say, Doctor Q, you have quite the knack for taking famous statements and relating them to MR! (I'm refering to the time when you were saying something about "Free at last, free at last, thank G-d almighty, we are free at last," just couldn't find exactly where you said it)

You don't need a Paypal account - just a regular credit card.

The demi status is growing pretty fast, which is obviously a good thing. I wonder what proportion of active members are paying customers now...

I am rather curious to this as well. Perhaps Doctor Q can provide some nice statistics help answer your question mad jew. :)
