This is used with the intel macs and I think the universal ipod dock.
Apple sells for $29, this can be yours for $25 shipped.

Used but in good condition.

Suppose you got an IR reciever, wouldn't it be possible then, supposing you could find a program to use it with?

I don't want to hijack this thread; I just want to answer this question!

It would be quite a lot cheaper (and easier) to simply by a third-party remote. I've never heard of someone with a G4 Mac using an Apple Remote successfully. If he wants it, he should use it with a universal iPod dock, not his Sawtooth.

Mediacentral for one, Frontrow for another.

I know fastest and easiest way to get those proggies working is to buy a third-party remote, but they are all so ugly! That being said, I am not rich enough for a MBP, Macbook's lack of video processing power deters me far away, and I don't want to get a iMac/Mini, ever.

Anyway, guess you guys don't know the answer to my question.
