iChat status icons (Video and audio) dont appear on my buddylist?

I need the icons so it will tell me who has a camera or a microhphone.... but they dont show up; any ideas?
 
Most likely those icons aren't showing up because the people in your buddy list do not have audio or video capabilities.
 
ahh figured it out; it was in the view toolbar thing; not in the prefereances... awsomet thanks!
