am I crazy? i am posting this before I install it so dont eat me if i am wrong!

Windows Media Player isn't supported anymore. You should check out Flip4Mac it works heaps better than WMP, Microsoft even link to it on the WMP9 page.

The player is free, you only need to pay for the encoders.
