I'd like to upgrade to the 20" Intel, what do you think is a decent price to sell?

Specs:

17" iMac G5 1.9 Ghz iSight
1.5 GB RAM. Bought 1GB from Datamem just 2 weeks ago.

This machine is in mint condition, in a non smoker enviroment and bought it in November 05. I'm located in Orlando, FL.

This is really sad, but it seems like you'd be lucky to get $700 for it (checking out eBay's buyers). I was disappointed with the resale of my PB right after the MBs were released, that's why I didn't trade up to either the MB or MBP. Good luck with your sale though. That's an awesome computer.

Well, since you can buy a 17" 1.83GHz Core Duo iMac from Apple's refurbished store for $1,099- I would say that a fair value for your 17" 1.9GHz iMac G5 would be about ~$850-$975 the going rate for your machine. The RAM might help it sell for a little more. 🙂

That really sounds like a joke... I better keep it!

Sadly, it is no joke- the release of Intel based Macs has done a number on the going prices for PowerPC based Macs. 🙁 😱
