Just a quick question. My PB's HD is 80gb. I have alot on it, but not this much... When I check my space left, I only have 2.1 gb left. When I check my HOME folder, that includes my Movies, Music, ect, it only shows that I have 30gb in there. So where is my other 40gb or so. Is there a program or app to show where all my hd space is going? Thanks

indeed there is! download this program, it's called what size. I find myself filling up my HD with random stuff all the time, so every other week i go in with what size to see where the space is getting hogged. its fantastic, and now i have about 30GB free on my powerbook :)

I've forgotten the name of the app that shows you exactly where your space is disappearing, but have you removed unnecessary language packs and printer drivers? I freed up over a gig of space doing that. Also I know that your powerbook's virtual memory fluctuates, which might make some of free space disapear. I wish I could be more helpful :o , I'm going to go look up the names of the apps though.

I shamelessly stole this from another thread, so the credit goes to other people.:D
