Spell Check Question

I'm running OS 10.3.9 and the spell check doesn't catch all the words. It catches a lot of them, but not all of them. I sometimes have to use Google for a word that I suspect of spell check missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

have you tried the 'help viewer'?

type in 'using advanced spell-checking options'.
