I used to use it back when G4s first came out, because Macs were so much faster than PCs then that you could still run PC games on VirtualPC

I only use it to print out my business cards which are still in Home Publishing from my seemingly long ago Window's days. Also, the service (Homestead) where I have my business website hosted is only Windows compatible so I need to run it to make any changes to the site.
Any suggestions as to an easy (I'm not very knowlegable of HTML), free web hosting service and/or web publishing software to create web pages for Mac? Also any good Mac software for home publishing? I've tried Print Explosion and didn't really care for it. Haven't gotten Print Shop b/c it doesn't run natively in OSX Jaguar yet (I don't have 9 installed).
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

i have it installed with windows 98, but it's unbearably slow on my 17" iMac. Does anyone reccommend any other OS's that'll speed it up? Is my computer just too slow to run it?

I use VirtualPC at work. we have a Windows environment and I have to manage a mix of Linux and Windows servers. Being able to use pcAnywhere to get to my Windows servers works much better than VNC (too slow) I am amazed at how well the product works. I also do web development and need to preview my work on Internet Explorer on the PC (slightly different than IE on the Mac) so this tool comes in very handy for me. I have 2gb of ram in my G4 dual 1.25 and I give 384mb to VPC (running Windows 2000) and it works very well.

I got VPC w/WinXP so I could stick ol' DOS programs onto it, like PowerC (http://www.mixsoftware.com/product/powerc.htm) and a primitive (but capable) geneaology program.

And to learn XP.

Now that I have a really ultra-fast laptop (http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.asp?EDC=455200) running XP, the DOS programs will stay on my iBook, whilst I get to play with a FREE msOffice-clone (http://www.software602.com/products/pcs/tour.html) under XP -- and those with fast Macs should download this li'l baby, too!

If it weren't for Magic Online and Kazaa, I don't think I'd use VPC at all.

I have VP5 running Win98se, but I only use it for KaZaa. The second that KaZaa has a Mac-client, I'll not need to boot up VP ever again.

I used to during the first days of the G4 and OS 9 when I wanted to play GTA... but not anymore.

I like it for that fact I can test my projects on Window platform, to how it works or looks different.

If I had a mac with VPC I would use it, but I have neither a mac,
nor VPC. So 'no' I don't use VPC.

I have VPC installed with Windows 98. A friend has a PC (win98) and he often phones me asking for help doing something. I can fire up Windows and trouble shoot by mirroring what he's doing or by clicking around and explaining what some of the advanced things are. And yeah I used to play GTA on it (500Mhz G3 and OS 9 used to be enough to get smooth game play but it's impossible now with OS X)

I've never used VPC. I had considered it, but found MS Remote Desktop and used that instead, and didn't have to reinstall Windows or pay a cent :)

I am VPC 6 with win2k as a guest os all the time. I mainly use it for Kazaalite and Forte Agent (news group reader). And also because MS Streets and Maps 2002 is the best map prog out there.

no.

i don't need VPC for anything.

if i had a peecee, i'd installl freebsd or debian to it - only - so i could mostly use my *X applications in it.

everything i do works nicely on jaguar or linux so i really don't need VPC, only for those certain programs that don't have a Mac equivalent ;)
I wish i didn't though!
Some of my friends aren't used to not using Windows so whenever they're doing homework on my laptop they always have to use Office XP in VPC (windows 98 and 2k only).

i currently have vpc 5 with only dos for old dos games from the net and QBASIC (!!!).
i intend to install win 98 se when i get a chance just to run kazaa and probably simple windows games from the net.

It would also be nice to be able to stick a CD from a cereal box ( for instance) into my mac and be able to fully use it.

i thought about upgrading to vpc 6 but now that connectix was bought-out i have second thoughts about it wondering if that money would just go to MS.

I have no needs for VPC myself, everything I need is available for the macintosh.

I would use VPC if I could afford it. I would use it to learn more about Windows only because my future mother-in-law gets pcs from the school she teaches at and she has no clue what she is doing most of time and needs my help. I also would like to learn more about XP and Win2000 for job needs.....otherwise I have no need for it.
