You know, what we really need are GBA compilations for the DS.
Like all-mario, all-zelda, all-FF, etc compilations.
Really, how much would people pay for a DS card that had:
The Legend of Zelda
The Adventure of Link
A Link to the Past
Link's Awakening
Oracle of Ages
Oracle of Seasons
The Minish Cap
I'm thinking... a lot.

Mario World would be a pickup for me @ $20. And SMA4 needs to get Player's Choice soon... As I want that game - but not at $35.
On that subject, Player's choice for the GBA should be less than $20. $50 GC games drop to $20 when they become PC. $35 GBA games should drop to $15 or $10.

Too bad the players' choice games are only first party titles. The GBA had tons of great 3rd party titles.
10$-GBA$ GBA carts would be nice but I think that at that price point, the margin of profit might be close to nil, hence, not worth re-releasing the games for the producer. :-/
Maybe these compilations will skip the DS generation and make their way directly to the Wii's Virtual Console. Of course, it's not portable but there could be decent price if the developers are not too greedy. (No manufacturing/packaging and minimal distribution cost.)
Edit: Out of curiosity I checked:
A GBA's cart maximum capacity is 32 MB.
A DS' cart maximum capacity is 128 MB.
So, in theory, they could easily fit at least 4 GBA games on a DS cart.
Would a Nintendo DS be able to read a currently non-existing higher capacity cart? (526 MB, 512 MB, et cætera) In the old days, they kept increasing the capacity of NES and SNES carts.

Aren't DS carts capable of much larger sizes than 128 megs? I though the Resident Evil DS game came on a 1GB cart. 512 at least. ker-shrug.
Also - I love the Resident Evil DS game.

Hmmm… I might be wrong but I was pretty sure 128 MB (or 1 gigabit) was the correct number.
