I was just over at C|Net and ZDNet, and I noticed something that irritated me. They are reviewing products, but off to the side is an add for the company who makes the product they're reviewing.
Example:

That just sheds doubt onto their credibility, in my opinion. Might they favor a product to save face and retain advertisers?
What do you think?

running a site is not free and big sites like cnet and zdnet have differnt departments to review and run advertisements. I think they may be a little influnced but if you think for a second if dell gives them a deal on laptops then maybe they see a few of the problems with them and other better laptops might get better reviews.

Ha, look at this site.
'Your PC is not optimized' uh first it is a mac and then when you click...
'You are running Internet Explorer' wait no I am not you totally guess wrong 'version 64' wait... so it used IE as the name but not version number what dump @ss's.
Then they show an IMAGE file relating to your comps speed'
'This is you' Image is slowed
'This could be you ' image is speed up.
Wow thank you image file for telling me the speed of my comp.
