Description:: Geekbench is a free cross-platform suite of benchmark tests that works on Macs, PCs and Linux machines. After running the tests, you can post them to the developer's web site and view the results, giving you the chance to measure your Mac against all comers whatever OS they are using.

This is a totally crap benchmark... From the short run time I'm convinced all that it really benches is memory bandwidth, and MAYBE a quick floating point test. I introduced this to the XS forums and they all blasted the Mac's off the top page in about 5 minutes with their C2D's, good stuff :D.
