360 Newbie. Help please.

I am getting a free xbox 360 core system with a mobile phone upgrade. I want to connect it to my 5.1 amp for surround sound. Does the core system come with an optical output. If not what other option is there? I will be using it with a Sony 32" CRT TV. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, to answer your question, you will need to purchase either the Component HD AV cable, or the S-Video cable. Alternatively, you can use the VGA cable, but I dont believe that will help you in this situation. Go for the best option for your TV, which would be Component outputs if your TV has them. Component/VGA > S-Video > Composite > RF
