Q. whether I can put a 3 1/2' DVD-RW into the MBP?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought the camcorder, and it uses those DVD for recording. My question is whether i can put the 3 and 1/2 inch disk into the dvd slot? also, will i be able to download them and video edit them using the currently software from Apple? Thanks...
 
software is a snap, getting it in is the tricky part. but with imovie or FCP, you can record in from the output of your camcorder. Not sure of any other solutions....
