hey everyone,
I have an extremely newb question. In order to run OpenOffice, you must have X11 installed, but I don't know what X11 is. Is it installed already on my 1.83 ghz MacBook?

X11 is the standard unix GUI toolkit/API. It's included with your install discs, but generally not pre-installed. Insert the TIger DVD and install under optional components.

Waiting for an answer to a factual peice of information on a message board is a waste of time. You can find the information you need on Wikipedia most of the time.
