MacBook Age

This may be an applications question, but when I installed coconut battery on my macbook, it says that it is 3 months old. I ordered it like 2 weeks ago so I am kinda confused. That would mean I have one of the very first they made??

Also as far as the battery life % goes, when I have it charged, it will say 99% is that normal? why would it not be 100%?

It is normal for it to be at 99%; but i'm not too sure about the age feature..

i think it might just look at the serial number and figure what week your Macbook is, my mackbook pro is only a month old and it says that it's Five.
check the week of your macbook. to check go to The Apple in top left corner > About this Mac> More> then you have your serial number. once you look up your serial number, it's the last two digits of the first five, so mine's W8614. hope that helps.

It's referring to the production week, which started before they were "officially" released.

mine is a week 26 and coconutbattery says 2 months, so no, 3 months for a week 22 sounds about right.

The "Week 22" refers to the week of calendar year 2006, not any sort of week of production. I'm too lazy to do the math myself right now, but you can easily figure out when your machine was manufactured.

Edit: Okay, I actually did do the math. The very end of May or very early June is when your MacBook was manufactured.

My MacBook is a "week 29" and I bought it on July 21st... Week 29 for 2006 would be the week of July 16th-22nd. Is that possible? I bought it from the Apple store... Does this mean I got it fresh off their shipment from Apple?
