The news of the proposed launch comes as Norway, Denmark and Sweden are challenging Apple to allow songs downloaded from iTunes to be played on any digital music player.
Couldn't you just convert the songs to mp3? Then they could be played on any music player right? Anyway, bring on the competition. More competition will make Apple have to be more innovative to stay ahead of everyone else. It could also lower prices.

I'm curious about the part of the article that states that songs purchased using the Nokia service can be played on all players. Will some conversion be required? Or will it be because the songs have no DRM? Or is this a claim that won't come true?
