So why is it I cannot buy music from Japan or Greece unless I am currently in Japan or Greece?

I miss my music from my two favorite places on earth.. *tear

Local laws prohibit sales outside the countries' borders.

=/ I am surprised they do that when they could take a bigger cut in taxes.

I thought if you had a billing address from the country of origin you could purchase songs from that store?

Are they blocking IPs now or something?

Or does the OP not have a credit card from these countries?

I have a residence in both countries but no CC there. =(

Get Gift Certificates sent to you from the store, get someone to Gift music to you, or, buy Music Cards in bulk, say $100 $'s worth at a time, when your next at 'home'.

You can then link these to that address. Or, set up credit cards for this purpose only, at your home address.

I live in the UK and get kind people on MR to send me gift certificates to the store I require. Although without an address in the desired country, this is illegal. ;)
