I already auto-updated when I read this. Read about the vulnerabilities from UNEASYsilence...

People planning to dual boot Windows on your Intel Macs, take note of this :(

I'm updating now. Erm, how is Office going to allow for external users to gain control of the operating system? Is there an underlying OS X vulnerability or do you need to be relatively defenseless in OS X before you could fall victim to this?

I should probably actually read the tech note. :o

Note for everyone. In case like me, it turns out your iMac was never updated to 11.2.5 when your iBook was... please note that MS is not familiar with the concept of a combo updater. The updates are downloading *slowly*! :( I'm downloading them manually purely because I don't have to do it twice that way.

EDIT: Okay, I lied. I didn't upgrade the iBook either. Darn, there have been a lot of these things! :o

Yeah, I caught those tiny little warnings... buuut, I'm incredibly behind on my updates! I had to download from before the Mac Service Pack 2. :o :o

As much as I hate having to download all these patches all the time for all the software on my mac its a good thing, at least MS is still thinking of us mac users ,and its a clear indication that they do intend to keep up their side of the "we will develop for 4 more years" agreement.

Very true. I love my Office 2004. My iMac is all updated now and I'm re-using both files on my iBook. :)
