I have that software but was more specifically referring to like a palm app that allows transfer of mail from computer to palm. They had it in previous versions of palm where you could use mail to sync all your mail which you downloaded to pc/mac and then sync it to your palm and read your emails and reply on the go. Anyone know of such a thing for the tungsten?

How do you like your Tungsten? I'm thinking about getting one some day soon.

I think the Tungsten is great. I use it to store address and calender appointments and especially use it for Avantgo to read on the tube. It also works especially well with iSync thus allowing you to use iCal and Address Book on OSX (I prefer this than Palm's actual software as it allows me to take advantage of the tightly integrated Mac OS software).

Wash, just tried the download that you suggested. How do you stop syncing mail over and over again? If I sync more than one time, it appears on the palm the amount of times that i sync. Ive selected "included read mail". Thanks

I don't know what it could be, It should only do it once. I'm including a picture of my settings
I hope it helps.

hmm... Maybe it is because I have "Include read mail" marked. That might be the problem. Wonder why it does that, maybe a bug. How do you manage to write your mail and send them at a later stage? In versamail, do you just write the email and choose outbox instead of send? When i try and select send, it gives me a message stating "cannot send message without SMTP server and email address"

I never use versamail What I do when I reply or write the emails in the palm mail app and then hit send when I get home I synch and the mail goes to the draft folder for me to send.

what email program for the palm do you use? I can't find a free one that will work with the app. Also, dose anyone have a way to sync avant go with OS X? Thanks, Kevin

No unfortunately there is not a Avantgo sync app. The e-mail program that Im current using my with Tungsten is Versamail. This came with the Tungsten.
For Wash!! - Do you use a tungsten? If so, where can i download the mail app for palm?

I'm a former newton user and I love my newton 130 but it just showing its age in both in the size of it and the way it conncted to my mac I just got a Blue and white G3 so there was no way for me to synch any more with my newton so I went on ebay a bought a visor. I works Ok but I miss some of the features of the newton like the assistant.
Maybe some day apple will make a pda with all the funtionality of the newton. but it looks that it will never happen the newton was a least 10 years ahead of its time.
The mail app is part of the visor's roms and they are lock other wise i would give to you.
Sorry

A backup copy of mail is in your user's folder (in OS 9 it is in the Palm Desktop folder, OS X it is in your documents folder), in a folder called backup.

I looked in booth but it looks like for the visor they don't back up the built in applications.
