You know, the Mac Pro is one kick ass computer. But for people like me who would like something in the middle there is nothing. I want a nice Mac tower I can upgrade and use for gaming. The iMac is ok for gaming now, but there is no upgradability. While I cant justify a Mac Pro, for some reason I don't think I need 4 cores for my general computing and some gaming. How about a computer just called Mac??

There's another thread that's been more or less debating about this too: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=223297
Definitely needs to be a mid-$1000 headless desktop machine, though. Throwing away a CRT after 4 years may not be too hard, but an LCD? Heck no...

I have a Mac.
Me too, an iBook.
No, a Mac.
Yeah, my iBook is a Mac.
No, my Mac is a Mac.
All Macs are Macs, duh.
Yeah but my Mac is actually a Mac.

haha, so maybe thats not the best name, but you get my drift. I want a computer with a single dual core computer and a decent video card, both of which I can upgrade. With the iMac I have a throw away display after a few years, and no upgrade path at all.
