paste entire link of swf to internet explorer and drag it to its download manager

That may work, I didn't know you could drag stuff to Download Manager.

SWFs for some reason you can't right-click save picture to disk.

What I have done is this:
(a) View source and get the full path of the swf
(b) create an html file which is like
<html><body><a href='the-file-path'>blah</a></body></html>

Which creates a file with a link to the SWF; then you can click download link to disk.

I used to work on a Pcheese and this is the way that its done there....
You ifnd the cache folder for the browser that your using and find the swf file and drag it out and then its saved, i never tried it on a mac yet so I am not certain that it will work!

there must be someone here that has tried this out.

What I always do is view the source, find the link to the .swf file, paste that in the browser, and then save it to disk. You'll then be able to open the file in QuickTime.

I've never had any problems doing it this way though, so I'd assume this would be the easiest since it only takes a min. or two.

It works for explorer on a mac - just tried it - thanks for the tip.

Anyone know how to do this with Safari? You can't drag and drop to the downloader there.

What I said above will also work with Safari. :)

Just view the source, copy the link to the .swf file, paste it in the address bar, load the flash file, and save as. :)

That's much easier, thanks! :D

Its very interesting to see what the files look like in Flash, never checked that out before. If you load them into the library and then edit it, none of the action script is there and the interactivity is all gone. Weird....but good so you can't get your programming copied, only your art.
