Use Isight When im not there?

I am thinking about getting an isight for my computer.. i was wondering if it would be possible to view the isight when i am not home.. for example, if i had a laptop with me, can i check up on my room? Or my brother will have his macbook in his dorm room, would it be possible to check whats going on there..

I will not be using this for spying purposes by the way, it would just be a cool feature..
