WTB: US Nextel-compatible phone

My i830 is almost useless at this point:

- The direct connect (PTT) button no longer works unless you squeeze the phone as hard as you can.

- The "Stop" button on top doesn't work period.

- The antenna is about to fall out which seriously hinders reception.

- It's scratched and chipped all to hell.

- I hate it! :rolleyes:


So, I'm looking for basically ANY phone that will work on my network and is compatible with my SIM card. I want to make sure the names appear with the numbers (which I think involves making sure I get a phone with three numbers in the model #, but I could be wrong).

Also, I'd like to have a display on the outside if possible, as I am more in to flip-phones (clamshells?) than the candybar style or whatever it's called - but I will consider anything.

Let me know what you have and what you'd take for it. I need something soon! :)

If you mean your contacts, they should always appear on your phone, as long as the contacts are saved to your SIM, not the phone.

I understand how the contacts are saved, but a friend of mine switched from an i830 to an i70 (or something with two numbers in the model) and he said none of the names show up in his contact list, only numbers. He said it was because the two and three digit model number phones read the card differently or something, so I just want to make sure I have all the information I have now, whether or not what he said is true.

So, anyone got a phone? :o

No one has a Nextel (motorola) phone to sell? Not even an old crappy one? I just need one that all the buttons actually work on.

I have a pretty used i710. No chargers or anything, just the phone. The screen is fine. I can throw up a pic in about an hour.

Anyways, if you want it's $10 shipped.
