save files with firefox including the source??

hi there

I'm just doing research and therefore I'm downloading a lot of papers etc. (most times a .pdf)

is it possible to tell firefox to save the source of the file directly "into" the file itself, e.g. with some metadata, comment or whatever so that i later know from where i got the file (which is quite suitable for the referrences section of a paper....)
