Hello, I am currently working out a trade with Cross for an iMac G4. Since it has Tiger, I'm sure it's got PhotoBooth, and I am looking for an iSight camera for chatting/playing/ etc. PM me with offers. Thanks!

Photobooth doesn't come with Tiger on PowerPC. It came with the Intel version of Tiger after it was ported. It was made for the built-in iSight Macs. You can have it installed onto a PowerPC Mac though.

How? Do I download it from Apple's site? Ooh, I wonder if it works on Intel PC's.

I don't know if you can download it. I don't even think you can get the software individually. The only way I could think of getting that program would be buying the Tiger Intel Version.
It doesn't work on Intel PC's because it needs to run under OSX.

PhotoBooth only came/comes with Macs with built in iSights (iMac g5s, all intels except the MacMini). However, there are hacks you can download to get it installed on other Macs. Oh, and there's a download on the Apple site.

You can easily find PhotoBooth by, ahem, donning a pirate costume, if you know what I mean.
I may have a iSight for sale for $110 shipped if you're interested. Including the accessory kit, a firewire cable and the plastic container.

Actually, I don't :p . But I am a little interested, how much has it been used, and is it in its original box? Thanks!

Photo booth WILL NOT WORK on Powerbooks/iBooks/G4 chips, well it will but the framerates are TERRIBLY SLOW. I.E. if you flash your hand in front of the isight camera while using photobooth, and itll show up about 1.5 seconds later on your screen. I had the front row hack on my PB, and it worked good. But I had to get rid of photobooth because it ran so slow. =(

That's not true. It runs perfect on my iBook, and I've used it a few times on an iMac G5. I think it runs just about the same.

I second ITASOR on that one. I had it installed on my PowerMac G5 and it ran perfectly normal. I thought it was kinda corny so I got rid of it. Maybe when I can use it in iChat will I put it back on my computer.

um, of course it would work well on a G5, apple designed a G5 with a built in iSight....AJ Muni was commenting on the performance with a G4 chip

since I got my second iSight I'll let you guys in for a little secret! Don't buy USED iSight's from people for the rediculous prices they're fetching on ebay. Instead be patient and keep calling Apple or your nearest AS, where they'll sell ya a refreshed iSight for $79.99!!
as far as working on a G4 I'm running it on my 1.5 PB w/no problems in fact it's just as fast as my iMM and my 2.16MBP.
to obtain the app get inventive with an ipod or rip from install disk.
aye,
