This must be simple, but I can't figure it out.

I must have touched something on my keyboard to change a preference, but I can't figure out how to change it back. When ever I highlight a file or a box to be filled out, it not only highlights it with the color change in the name, it also puts a black border around it. The same happens when I hit the tab button, and whatever the tab is on also has a black border. This is not horrible, but frustrating that I can't figure it out. Any help would be great.
