Delayed Shipment on Mac Pros?

has anyone elses Mac Pro ship date been delayed? Mine was supposed to ship yesterday, yesterday night i got an email from apple stating that my order would not be shipped until the 23rd... 8 more days of waiting. Could this be because i live in Canada? If i knew the wait was gonna be so long I would have added the airport extreme. The only changes i made to the stock config was 160gb hdd and bluetooth.

At least your ship date is in the near future....mine is Sept. 5th and it should arrive by Sept. 12th...now that is a long wait....however, no, my ship date has not been delayed at all, yet, *knocks on wood*

No! The OP is waiting for his Macpro. Those have Woodcrest, you will never see a Merom in a Macpro.

I'm ordering the exact same system today. They're quoting 2-4 business days on the Canadian site. Have you tried calling them to add the Airport Extreme instead?

No! The OP is waiting for his Macpro. Those have Woodcrest, you will never see a Merom in a Macpro.

I got my 3Ghz Mac Pro yesterday, it shipped on Saturday. I live outside of Toronto. I know I didn't order Bluetooth because it was an added delay. I ordered it last Tuesday. Hope this helps?

My config was 3ghz, 2x SuperDrives, 2gb RAM and then to save shipping time I placed another order for extra RAM, HD's, vid card.

My Mac Pro was supposted to ship today... I guess I only have to wait 5 hours and 45 minutes till I can officaly start complaining that my order was late.

I ordered mine on monday last week, but had put the WiFi/BT and the ATi on there, so I descided last wed that I would change the order to remove the WiFi/BT and the ATi.
End config, technicaly ordered on Wed..
2.66
2 gb RAM
160 HD
2x Super Drives
7300GT
pretty much standard besides that.



Oh yeah, and im in Los Angeles if that matters at all.

I ordered mine (3.0ghZ, everything else stock) Last wednesday the 9th.
Still isn't here and neither is my damn ACD I ordered. I am in london ontario, so maybe mine was delayed too? I ordered it thru the campus computer store at my university though, and they haven't contacted me:mad:

I orderd my 2.66 last tuesday and got bluetooth and wireless mouse and keyboard thats it. I still havent got it and I orderd it through a reseller where I live in kingston ontario. so i hope mine didnt get delayed.

woohoo!! so much for all that estimated ship date of august 23rd... it shipped yesterday!! only one day later than they first estimated!

my first mac ever is on it's way... i'm more excited than an 8 year old at christmas!

edit: on a side note, it's a little weird that the free Nano was shipped through Purolator and the Mac Pro through Same Day... oh well, i just can't wait to get my hands on it!

Ya, they did that to me too... speaking of which Sameday finally updated their tracking and indicates that my comp will arrive tomorrrow woooo!! Total turnaround was 5 days.

I dont understand why mine is est. to ship so much longer than alot of others.... it is only the 3.0ghz, BT and Airport and wireless kbd and mouse...didnt think it would take this long to ship out...

my guess is it has a lot to do with the airport... i just added bluetooth, if i added airport along with it the shipping time jumps to 2-4 weeks :eek:... i'm just gonna have to run some cables.

it shipped yesterday and is expected to be here on the 24 :) even sooner than i initially expected before it was delayed 1 day.

i also ordered mine on the 8th, was supposed to ship on the 15 but was delayed to the 16th and should be here on the 24th. I'm not living in Toronto anymore actually (need to edit that), i'm moved back to Newfoundland... was in Toronto the last 2 years for uni. So the Mac Pro is coming all the way to Newfoundland.

edit: from what i can gather on the Same Day tracking site it was picked up in Mississauga today... so i'm guessing you'll have yours very soon. Unless you added something like airport or the x1900 xt which would delay the ship date.
