Probably done before, but I was interested in seeing what everyone has. For me, iMac G5 and iMac G3. Go into as much detail as you'd like.

EDIT: Please note you can select more than one.

PowerMac G4 Digital Audio with 1.5ghz OWC Mercury Extreme upgrade, 1GB
PowerMac G4 Dual 450mhz upgraded to 1.5ghz OWC Mercury Extreme, 1GB
PowerMac G4 ??? with the old 733mhz from the Digital Audio, 512MB
PowerBook G4 "Q16A" (pre double layer)1.5ghz, 15 inch, 512MB (what I'm using as I type this)

I skipped G5 and now I'm ready to buy an Intel Mac, I'll definitely get the Mac Pro and maybe trade the powerbook for a macbook pro.

All of those machines have been extremely reliable considering I got the first two when they were first released and they run Tiger like a champ I'd say they were pretty future proof compared to my PC from 2000 which was pretty slow at the end of its days. The other machine with a 733 and 512 RAM is very slow but very usable even in Tiger, this PowerBook would be golden with 1GB RAM (512MB makes machines slow :( at least in Tiger) but its already fast enough for what I do in this laptop and I don't want to spend money on a machine that will probably get the boot very soon.

I put Mac Pro in the poll, even though I don't have it yet. It's ordered.....

I also have an iBook G3 900Mhz which I'm using while waiting for the Mac Pro.

I'm on a 1 Ghz Titanium powerbook with 1 gig of ram and will upgrade the 4200 rpm 60 gig hard drive to a 120 gig 5400 rpm hard drive soon. This machine is so gorgeous that I'm going to try to wait it out through leopard with it. All I have to do is add a usb 2.0 pcmcia card and I'm set for the moment

Colored iBooks, also known as Clamshell iBooks or Toilet Seat iBooks, are the older ones, like this (http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/ibook/stats/ibook.html)...1999-2001.

It's an iMac G4 and a MacBook for me. It's a shame I don't have a nice big desk - they would look pretty cool together on it! I'd also love an old style ACD to plug the MB into.

Aug 23, 2006, 03:48 AM
New Mac mini. Specs are in the sig.

i have a macbook.

my parent also own a 667MHz TiBook, a (dead) 800MHz iMac G4, and a 1.83GHz MBP, but I take claim to ownership of all of them (except for the iMac, which is now my property of my parents so they can pay for repairs :p)

17" 1.25 GHz G4 iMac. Coming up on 3 years old now, and still running as great as the day I bought her. Although I'd like a new Mac, it's tough to justify buying one when my curerent one is still working perfectly fine and meeting all my needs! ;)

I'll probably upgrade in 2007 or 2008 once a 20" Conroe iMac with 500 GB HDD and 4 GB RAM options, HD-DVD/Blu Ray optical drive, 802.11n and Leopard pre-installed is available. Or a Conroe min-tower of some sort...

Mac Mini G4 1.42 (unjustly slighted in this poll by not being dignified with an entry of its own)

A fine machine in its own right, it served as a testbed to see if moving away from the train-wreck-previously-known-at-longhorn was viable. Now to be retired (my mother wants it) having demostrated decisivly that it is. To be replaced by a soon-to-arrive-honest-it-will-just-be-another-two weeks Mac Pro.

Aug 23, 2006, 01:01 PM
A 1.9GHz G5 PPC with a 17" display, built-in iSight and 1GB of RAM. :D

Aug 23, 2006, 01:04 PM
1Ghz iBook here with 768megs of RAM and a 80GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive.

Aug 23, 2006, 01:40 PM
I still have an eMac, but I'll have a MBP soon! :D

Aug 23, 2006, 01:57 PM
