powerbook g4 wont wake up/turn off

Hey guys... Random problem. Powerbook wont wake up or respond to a manual shutdown. I have been taking the power plug in and out to get it to respond to a change of power, i have open and closed it, pressed keys, and finally tried to manually shut it down by pressing and holding the power button. Nothing is working and the comp is in sleep mode. Any ideas? i did a seach and most everything is now about macbooks..

update: Put cd in.. doesnt respond...


am i able to buy applecare in the midst of this if my one year is past?

am i or am i not eligble?... because if i am i would want to buy it and then send the computer in. .
