Any BTO limitations in Apple retail stores?

Hey, just wondering if there are any BTO limitations in Apple's retail stores, as opposed to ordering online? If not, do you know the waiting period?

Apple calls them CTO, Configure to Order. I prefer BTO.

Regardless, Apple retail stores do not offer CTO. This is only available from the online store. Also note that CTO systems cannot be returned, which I think is quite foolish.
