Man, this thing is a whole lotta computer. Right now, I'm lucky enough to own to computers: the 17" MBP which was intended to be my desktop replacement and then my 12" lil guy PB that I love to death (thanks again, Slipper -- oh, and the probs in it were fixed :p ). The 12" goes with me everywhere: on the road, on the couch, on my bed, starbucks -- literally everywhere. I feel bad for my investment in the 17" because I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I'm just not really a sit-at-my-desk-to-do-my-work kinda gal; I'm very mobile. Therefore, I'm thinking about selling it. I guess the 17"ers don't sell very well on this forum from what I've seen but I'm open to see how much you guys think it's worth. Also a suggestion on the best place to put it up for sale (though I guess I'd probably get the most back on eBay) would be nice.
EDIT: Now FS! $2300+shipping within lower 48. Money Orders only unless you'll pay the PayPal fees.
Here are the specs:
17" 2.16ghz Macbook Pro
1GB RAM
120GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
You know the rest. It's in mint condition and has never left my desk. It was cleaned weekly with iKlear (and I didn't dent it this time!) and is covered with the Marware Protection Pack. Never experienced any heat or whine problems and CoreTempDuo (or whatever it's called) reports were always pretty cool and normal. Of course, I have the box, accessories, and OS discs as well -- everything that came with it. Pics available if anyone needs - but it looks just like the rest of them. :p
I can include a 2GB iPod Nano for $100 more.
So, $2400+shipping with an iPod Nano, or $2300+shipping for the computer itself.

Oh Marissa, you're never satisfied with your setup are you? Good luck selling. I'm sure most people know that you're a very reliable seller from all the negotiations you've made on this thread;)

NEVERRRR!!! It's a curse, really. Never satisfied with anything! And thanks to my new found "Activate Equipment" option on the Verizon website, I've been buying phones like crazy. A new phone every day, practically. I got a Treo 600 this afternoon but didn't know I needed a PDA plan to get it activated. BOO. Road block but now that just means that I can go for that LG Chocolate. Mwahahah. But thank you for your comment. I would like to sell it if I can. :o
Oh, and scorpion151, since this is a feeler, I don't have a price. I'm seeing how much others would be willing to pay. I put it up on another forum and asked for $2600+shipping but again, that's just a random number I threw out there and I'm open to offers.

You will need to sell it soon, with the new ones expected to cmoe id guess it would go for 2499 maybe a bit more but expect a large drop when the new ones come out. Id recomment selling it on ebay or try to find someone locally.
I wish i could afford it but cant.

Oh yeah! I didn't think about the next Macworld Paris. AHHHH. I might have to throw it up on eBay as early as tonight if I really want to get rid of it. :(

I'd put it up on ebay if I were you. You might get a better price. Specially with all that ram.

May want to sell it before Sept 5th since that is the rumored release date for the new MBP. But who knows... I hope it is though because that is what I will be buying.

If that's true, does anyone have an idea on the price range I could sell it at?

You haven't said anything about trades, and from your posts I doubt you would consider it, but just to throw it out, would you consider a 15" MBP + cash?

Ugh! I signed up for a class that requires that I bring my laptop everyday. The 17" might be a bit of a hassle (and the 12" might be too small, I'm not sure yet) so now I'm looking for a possible trade+cash for a similar spec 15" MBP. (I should have kept that other MBP!)

I've got a 15", 2GB RAM, 100GB 7200RPM...
I'm extremely attached to it, but have been thinking about looking around for a 17", since my 15" really just sits on my desk 85% of the time anyway...

Oh, man. Now I really need to sell it. Hows $2300+shipping within the US?
