I played it on my iMac 2ghz 2gb 256mb ram. It ran great at 1280x720, most details on high with draw distance on medium.
It looked as good as my Xbox360, albeit without anti aliasing.

LOL! Nah you got 500gb ;) :) I went for 250 because there was a long waiting period for the 500 originaly.
I also have a macbook, powermac g5, imac g4 20", mac mini G4, ibook G4.... And when my applecare runs out on my powermac jan 07, i'll be ordering a macpro :D resistance if futile :)

MRU, can you perhaps take any screenshots while playing it...or anyone else for that matter?

I didn't know you could get Oblivion for the Mac......or did you run using Windows thru Boot camp?
Also, curious to know if it runs well on a vanilla 512mb RAM iMac :)

Bootcamp only.
512mb ram? Poorly. 2gb needed for it to play with decent framerate and medium/high settings depending if you have a 17"/20" imac with 128mb or 20" with 256mb graphic's card.

It's a stock 15 inch 2.16 ghz.
It may have been possible to make it perform better than that, but I was just playing to get some pictures. I haven't spent as much time with that game as i'd like to.

Sorry. I play Oblivion on my Xbox 360 on my 60" HDTV at 1080i. Anything I could post would give you 360-envy. :D

Agreed, those screenshots posted make me want to avoid the game like the plague. i've seen screenshots that have made me feel the opposite, so somebody else needs to get to screencapturing!

Can someone with an overclocked x1600 MBP post some shots? Really looking forward to seeing what the overclocked card can do.

I haven't taken many screenshots, but here's one from early on.

20" imac 2Ghz 2GB ram 256MB video.
The game plays ok for the most part, but it could certainly stand to be smoother at times. Outdoors is where I take the biggest hit.

That looks awesome...I hope the next MBP they come out with has an X1800 or nVidia's equivalent, I would love to see it look like that and run smoothly.

what settings are people using? Mine runs great on my macbook pro until im running with the horse or fighting more than one thing. I run in 1280 widescreen without AA or HDR or View Distant Land. I also turned anything on high to Low. Id love to play it on a 360 but id need a 360 and an HDTV.
