I know this has been said..Booting XP on external disk

i know this has been said before, and i have read multiple threads on it. but i was hoping someone (preferably someone who has done it) could give me a step by step way of doing this through osx and bootcamp. it does not matter whether it is FW or USB, but every thread i have read about this has everything mixed up and hard to understand.

Forget FW, only USB ever has a chance to work.

If you have an iMac, Mac mini or MBP the effort of removing the internal drive probably isn't worth the trouble.
