hello peeps,

i have a normal mbp 2.0gHz 1gb ram 100gb HD 5400rpm
so standart nothing impressive

after around 15min of gameplay under os x, a grey thing pops up and tells me i need to restart my machine and gives me instructions on how to do so...anyone know how to fix this?

dont want to boot into windows all the time when i wana play over the net with my brother...

That's a kernel panic, and is not good. It's usually hardware related, like bad ram. However, with the latest patch one of the known issues was that on intel macs civ4 could sometimes cause kernel panics, so hopefully it's not your hardware.

"Known Issues

- If you experience kernel panics on Intel Macs, make sure you have installed the latest version of the OS X 10.4.7 Combo update. If problems persist, turn off FSAA options and/or run the game in a window."

So run software update and install the system update if you haven't already.
If you have, try turning off FSAA, and run the game in a window.
