For the "buy a mac, get an ipod' offer you need to go through a 'campus reseller.' Are there online campus resellers? In particular, could Amazon be construed as a 'campus reseller'?
Yes, I'm cheap. The macbook is $50 less on amazon than it is at the student discount AND I guess I wouldn't have to pay tax if I bought through Amazon so... any cheap roundabout, but legal ways to shave off a bit more from my purchase??

Amazon won't work. Basically, you have to buy it through an education store - either Apple or your campus bookstore (I'm not positive on the bookstore - don't hold me to it)...

My campus bookstore has ads for the free nano everywhere, so I'm assuming it's possible....

You have to buy it from the online education store or from your campus store.

Or, you can go to an Apple retail store and give proof that you are a college student and they will give it to you there as well.
