mic troubles and questions

I've always had this headset by Plantronics, the Audio 90s back in my glory budget days with Counter-Strike. I was wondering if anyone in the Digital Audio section records with anything similar to them, and how they turn out when using software such as Reason 3.0 (main reason being, i'm using Reason)
