Mac Equivalent of "Clone CD" ????

Hi is there any application for mac that work like clone CD in Windows ?
i Need it to copy DVDs , thx, i;m new to mac anyway 😛

i'm sure these are your own dvd's 😉

Seeing as though you have a macbook.

Get parallels and use clone cd / dvd etc in that. XP on Parallels wont allow you to burn the CD/DVD but will allow you to save the image.

Save the image to a shared folder and then open it in osx and burn with toast etc....

yes it's my own DVDs 😛
just want to make back up copies in case the original one is scracth or smth 😛
anyway is there any other way beside parrarel ?

i prefer solution in Mac OS without the hassle of installin Microsoft Windows 😛

rip the dvd with mactheripper 2.6.5

then compress & burn with toast 7.0.2

Presuming you mean data CDs/DVDs, use Disk Utility to create a disk image from the optical disk (as a DVD/CD Master) and then you can burn a copy using Disk Utility.

ok, then I hereby give you way backing up your Movie DVDs, totally free

1. mactheripper rip DVD to your disk, this results in a movie folder,

2. Use DVD remaster to compress and burn the folder to DVD disk (DVDremaster is shareware, you can use demo version)

I often make backups of my DVDs.

This is the way to go:

MacTheRipper - Rip movie
Dvd2OneX - Compress movie
Toast - Burn movie

And as always, try to use quality media like Taiyo yuden DVDs.

why must i
"ripped" "compress" and "burn"

can't i just duplicate the DVD ?
i mean example can i just put the Original DVD in my MBP DVD drive and put empty DVD on my External DVD Writer ?
can i do that ?

As long as the total size of the source material is smaller than the disk you're burning to, you can do that.

The issue with backing up most movies, it the movie is often to big to fit on a disk the system can burn, so you need to compress it.
