Hi-

I have a mini that I had hooked up to a LaserJet 4 ML via an Asante Ethernet bridge. Several times I moved the machine and it was always a hassle to get it back. I'm now trying to connect via a Keyspan USB to Serial Port adapter with no luck. The device shows up in the network setting but I can't see my printer. Try to add it to no avail.

It's worked before which is even more frustrating....

Any thoughts?

TIA

Also, no printers are showing up in my list although I downloaded the drivers from HP. When I try to install the drivers that I find in my library I get an error. UGH!

Can you not use the ethernet card? There is a built-in driver for this printer. I have the duplexor installed - works a treat. However, I noticed the windows driver is 600DPI whereas the mac driver is only 300DPI

Even a crossover cable could do the trick....

I'm not using the ethernet anymore as I'm now trying to use the USB to serial port adapter. No luck though.......
