View Full Version : Late night and Macbook hasn't shipped yet... should I be worried?

My Macbook is supposed to ship today (September 5th, 2006) and it's already kinda late here and the order status still hasn't updated. Should I be worried? :( If it doesn't update by tomorrow morning, I'm gonna call Apple and see if they can help me out.

i wouldn't be worried, just annoyed. when did you first place the order? is it BTO or stock? if it's already been delayed once or has been a ridiculous amount of time, then i'd try calling apple and see if they can't "compensate" you for the inconvenience.

I ordered it August 24th and it's BTO.

oh that's hardly anything. many have been waiting a month+ for their BTO laptops. don't be terribly surprised if they push back your shipping date - in which case you have grounds to try calling apple and getting a $50 or so "compensation" (at least that's what they've been doing for others).

Well, I ordered my stock black Macbook on the 3rd and it is slated to ship by the 14th. So there are definitely delays, even more than are stated on the store site (since that's 8 business days from my order and they estimate 5-7 on the store site). Personally, I don't mind if it's a bit late, and every day it's delayed is to me a day that the next MB upgrade could come out. The way I see it...I win either way!

I've already waited 8 business days, going on the 9th which is longer than their 5-7 day estimate. I demand compensation! :p

I ordered on the same day as you, a BTO MacBook and it was also meant to ship on the 5th. I must say, I felt comforted knowing someone else was in the same position as me. I got an email this morning however saying that my MacBook had shipped from China, so hopefully yours did too!
