how to tell what is using HD space

Hello Everyone,
Im curious as to if anyone knows some software that can easily show you what is using your hard drive space. Like graphicly show how big some folders are mabey with like a pie chart or graph sort of thing.

The reason I ask this is because I cant figure out what is using so much space on my hard drive on my macbook pro. I have already deleted all the free trials that came with it but if their is a good way that anyone knows of how to like manage your hard drive any advice would be greatly appreciated.

well, how much space is available/free, and how much stuff have you put onto it already (music, photos, apps, etc.)?

Dont know about the pie chart & all, but an app called "What Size" does a pretty good job of identifying file sizes in a listed order from biggest to smallest......

also, you can save a several GB's by eliminating all extra printer drivers except the ones you need/use, as well as all of the language/localization files that you dont need/use....

there are gui apps for this too, or you can do it manually........

I swear by WhatSize. Always works, super simple, super straightforward. Shows you (in descending order by size) how big each of your main files in, and will continue to do so in any folder you navigate through. Even sizes invisible files (it's how I found my mysterious, hard drive wrecking 64GB windowserver_last.log file).

Also run monolingual to remove unneeded language file it will save you several gigs...
